CHOOM.GG: Draft Mode for Cyberpunk TCG Is Live

While the rest of us stare at the Kickstarter home stretch like good little backers, the community is already pouring the foundation. Lovecore has quietly turned his fan project CHOOM.GG into the most serious companion app the Cyberpunk TCG has, and the newest feature closes the one big gap the app still had: drafting with other humans.

What Is CHOOM.GG?

Not on your radar yet? CHOOM.GG is a free web app positioning itself as „Your Night City Companion for the Cyberpunk TCG.“ The feature list reads like a wish list that most TCGs don’t get around to until years after release:

• Card Database: All known cards, fully searchable and filterable by color, type, and attributes
• Deckbuilder: Build decks with Legend assignment, mana curve, and QR code sharing
• Collection Tracker (Binder): Manage your collection including Standard, Foil, and Kickstarter variants plus a wishlist
• Gig Board: Player matchmaking for Casual, Competitive, Learning Games, and Draft
• Arena & Analytics: Competitive format and metagame analysis

And no, this is not some half-assed spreadsheet. The site looks damn good, runs smooth on mobile, and has a well-thought-out UI with Dark Mode. All of it free. All of it community-driven.

New: Realtime Draft Mode

The freshest addition, announced by Lovecore in the Discord today: Draft Functionality for Realtime Drafting. You can now spin up a draft pod right on CHOOM.GG, invite other players, and crack packs together in real time, picking cards as you go. Just like a physical booster draft, only digital.

There’s also an export function that lets you take your drafted deck to other platforms. Right now the export is a .txt file, and Lovecore himself calls it a stub, since it’s unclear which platforms besides Tabletop Simulator and TCG-A will end up mattering. Which is exactly why he wants feedback before he presents the feature to the broader community on Reddit this Monday.

Why This Matters

A TCG doesn’t survive on good cards and fair pull rates alone. It needs infrastructure: places where players can theorycraft decks, track their collections, and find opponents. With Pokémon and Magic, that took years. Yu-Gi-Oh still doesn’t have an official deckbuilder that doesn’t look like a relic from 2005 (my personal favorite piece of evidence that „official“ and „good“ are different words).

Cyberpunk TCG hasn’t even hit retail and it already has a companion app with a card database, deckbuilder, collection tracker, matchmaking, and draft mode. Think about that for a second. Nobody hands you that for free; a community member is pouring hundreds of hours into a tool because they believe in the game.
